Who are the organizers of the Ladies Challenge?
Massimo Romano he is coach and owner of CrossFit® 20020, Christian Lucarelli is coach and owner of DTL Legnano, while Michael Antonicelli is the owner of Ironfit, the host box of this edition.
In addition to being friends and collaborators, they share a passion for CrossFit® and organizing events that leave a mark.
How did the Ladies Challenge come about and how are the tasks divided?
“The Ladies Challenge was born in 2018,” Massimo says. “It all started from a simple idea of Michele: why not organize a race dedicated exclusively to women?
The idea excited me and, without thinking twice, I involved Christian. Since then we have been working together to make this event more and more special.”
The tasks are well distributed: “I take care of the organizational challenges,” explains Massimo, “while Christian has fun creating stimulating workouts and managing the competition area. The Ironfit staff is the operational heart of the competition, always efficient and impeccable.”
Why a women-only race?
“We wanted to celebrate the strength, determination and growth of women in CrossFit®,” says Michele. “An all-female event offers a unique space for athletes to reach their full potential and inspire each other. Competitions are often co-ed, but we believe that highlighting the contributions of women in the community is essential.”
The choice to focus on the Experience category
For this edition, the event focuses exclusively on the Experience category, dedicated to novice athletes.
“It’s a way to welcome those who are approaching the world of competitions, creating an inclusive and stimulating environment,” Christian emphasizes. “We want each participant to feel valued and supported, discovering their potential in a positive context.”

The workouts and challenges of the competition
The race provides three workouts plus a final, designed to test the strength, endurance, technique and strategy of the athletes.
“We want to surprise the participants with innovative elements and push them to overcome their limits,” says Christian. “And who knows, maybe I’ll add some extra challenges…”
