Definitely an energetic competition, with many highlights and thrills, mainly on the last day!
Some performances were epic: Mayhem Independence and KaraSaunders have shown their full potential. The final ranking for both men and women remained uncertain until the end: it was an exciting and tense afternoon.
Let's see specifically the final recap:

Women
In the fourth and final day of the race, Kara Saunders managed to get a big advantage over the Swedish Mia Hesketh. He finished the heat with a third place in event 11 (70 double unders and handstand walk) and a first place in the final event (3 rope climbs, 60 pullups + 9 over head squats).
Let's be honest: the Australian Kara dominated the whole competition and showed that having a newborn baby at home does not interrupt a career. Surely in August at the Games he will demonstrate even more his excellent physical shape.
That's why, being already qualified, the invitation to the next Games went to second place, My Hesketh.

Men
The men's competition was no different. Only on the last day did it become clear who would win the invitation to the CrossFit® Games. The battle was between two australians very strong: Jay Crouch e James Newburry.
James arrived on the last day at second, ahead of Jay by just 46 points. Jay, in event 10 (a speed ladder) managed to close in 2nd place and from there the road was all uphill.
In the final event (3 rope climbs, 60 pullups + 9 over head squats) James finished first and Jay finished second, with only 12 seconds of difference between the two. The ranking closes with Jay beating his rival with just 6 more points and taking home his invitation to Madison in August.

Team
What can I say, in recent events i Mayhem they caused a sensation. And even here in Australia it was no different: they arrived at the last day with an advantage of 50 points on the second place, an independent Australian team.
Unlike the individual category, the teams did 11 events, one less than the others.
The final workout was this:
50 grub shoulders to overhead
50 grub squats
50 grub shoulders to overhead
50 grub squats
* before starting any movement: 10 burpees over the worm
