During this period there has been a lot of talk about the whole situation regarding the CrossFit® brand. Scandals have started hitting the company and its owner and founder, Greg Glassman, after the gaffe with a tacky tweets; many companies and athletes, therefore, they took strong positions.
Important names like Katrin Davidsdottir e Matt Fraser they used social media to express their discomfort over the situation. Many criticized, removed the affiliation and some even gave up participation in the next Games, but above all they wanted changes.
And these have arrived!
Starting from the news of Greg's retirement with consequent handover to Dave Castro as CEO, then came the bomb: vend of the company to Eric Roza; but the very latest news that comes to us is that the next changes will come in the form of actions: the creation of scholarships.

The next actions of the CrossFit® brand
According to the official CrossFit® page:
"One of the core values of CrossFit® has always been to create broad, familiar and engaging involvement."
CrossFit® is for anyone who wants improve your health and fitness. However, it is known that i costs are high both in opening a new box and in training new coaches (one thousand dollars!).
That's why CrossFit® decided to do some free courses to become a lvl coach 1 in underrepresented and under-served communities. The idea is to increase theaccessibility of the whole community.
Having access to this basic education for free can help not only the person attending the course, but everyone around him.
Plans for the future of the CrossFit® brand
In the future, the company plans to expand the project to include orientation opportunities and roads for become an entrepreneur.
The company also announced that:
“After the program is launched, we will look for ways to adapt it to better serve the under-represented and under-served, while always keeping an eye on the engagement of other stakeholders in the community; we recall that these promote parallel efforts to support diversity and the inclusion of those facing the greatest challenges in health. "
The program will start with a free level 1 course in Atlanta for children and young adults. If you go to read the comments on their page, you will already see many people who give their support and wish to see this initiative expand around the world.
Maybe this will be a nice change in the whole community and who knows if it will be the beginning of one new era for the company. In the meantime, we can wish good luck and congratulate CrossFit® Inc for the nice idea!
