Recap of our 2024 CrossFit® Competitions
Throwdown Bust
Let's start with the first one, which opened the 2024 season. For its first edition, the organizers wanted to create something stratospheric.
Giant arena, spacious warm-up area and impeccable floor. A race that combined force, technique and strategy from start to finish. Read the full recap

Bologna Throwdown
Second unmissable event for us at CrossMAG, we have been with them since the first edition (which was a success!) and we have seen the level rise also in the second edition.
Spectacular WODs, impeccable judges (PJ always a guarantee) and a crazy atmosphere, which made the two days a real point of reference for our panorama. Read the full recap

No Pain, No Game
A new entry, a “box” race that left nothing to chance. Organized at Crossfit Sempione, there was no shortage of Games athletes (Veronica Bandera and Lorenzo Casadei to be specific!).
A team race that entertained (and exhausted) all the participants. The event is also confirmed for 2025!

Pietrasanta Beach Throwdown
Well, here we play at home. Even if we shouldn't, this is the race of the heart. Perhaps one of the most particular races, because the sand here is the master, with the Versilia sea as a backdrop.
This year the organizers demonstrated a unique ability to create events that were nothing short of epic: fence jumping and rope jumping (the big one, the ropes!!). Read the full recap

HoldFast Team Competition
A weekend that showcased the essence of teamwork. The complicity between team members was the star of a perfectly organized competition. Energy, adrenaline and a united community: an event we will remember for a long time! Read the full recap

Ligurian Throwdown
A regular event also in Busalla, which was the scene of two days of pure spectacle. Here too the level was raised a lot and we witnessed technical, strength and strategy workouts that were no laughing matter.
This year, the guys created a brutal wod on the sand (yes, not the sea but the sand!) consisting of burpees, sandbag clean and sandbag carry… fun to watch, but maybe less so to do!! Read the full recap

Lombardy Challenge// Bulls Battle Gorgonzola
Another new entry in our calendar, the Lombardia Challenge- Bulls Battle It really surprised us. A truly amazing location, inside a sports center with a swimming pool, slides, beach volleyball courts, and much more.
Very well organized 3-man team competition with strategic WODs: we saw race, swimming and lots of PRs. Read the full recap

Ouroboros Summer Competition
Another unmissable event, our favorite holiday-race!! Sun, relaxation and lots of CrossFit: this event was a breath of fresh air in the competitive landscape.
Every year the guys at Uroboro try to create something epic and this year they hit the mark: they brought Josh Bridges and Manon Angonese in Puglia. CRAZY.
We could write a book about the positive notes of this race: huge vendor area with many top brands, excellent refreshment area, sunbeds by the sea, incredible photography (even on an international level), floor with sea view... what more do you want? Read the full recap

Gallipoli Throwdown
Another new entry for us. The Gallipoli was another race that left us speechless. Inside the Gondar Park, combining the charm of the sea and the sun of Lido San Giovanni with two days of intense competition.
The location was suitable, given that in those days it was taking place Apulia Sport Convention, so inside the village we were able to enjoy the well-being of sport at 360°!
The athletes shone, giving the audience an unforgettable show. Read the full recap

AureliaGames
With the theme of the Avengers, the Aurelia Games brought energy and spectacle. Thanks also to the organizers who were able to create an atmosphere that felt "like home".
We were also surprised by the huge participation of master athletes! Amazing location, inside the Le Palme sports center, so the athlete could find all the services he needed. Read the full recap

Night Off – 4 Flamingos
This was a special event for us. Not a competition, but an evening of training and fun. The Night OFF took place at box 4 Flamingos and the athletes (teams of 3) completed two workouts without judges and without rankings.
We saw things that only the Veneto region can offer: masked athletes, spritz on the floor, cheerleaders and, to conclude, a party that went on until late at night! Find out more on Instagram

HoldFast Individual Competition
Also a regular appointment with the guys from Hold Fast, who this year have received a lot of criticism for their choice of workouts outside the box.
But, as it was intended to demonstrate, the athletes put themselves to the test and in the end had fun! What can I say? Like last year, this race put the athletes at the center, providing all the services necessary for a competition. Read the full recap

Donkey Challenge
A pleasant discovery for us, another “box” race that left its mark. With over 200 athletes registered, the organizers were able to create a well-curated and attentive event.
The gem? An extra wod of Strongman, which required the use of special tools: atlas stone and axel bar. Fun and definitely heavy! Read the full recap

KaizenGames
Our last event of the season! Competition in a tennis center in Abruzzo, with a different scheme: 5 guaranteed workouts for everyone during the day, without finals or cuts.
Unfortunately there were some hitches that penalized the success of this race, but surely the feedback received will ensure that the next edition will be a success. Read the full recap
