What's new?
Individual athletes
Last year, and in previous CrossFit® Games, only the top 20 individual athletes would receive part of the total prize pool depending on their final placement.
This year it is extended to all 40 elite athletes who will compete at Madison this year.
Team
Previously, only the top 5 teams won part of the prize pool. Now, the top 10 teams will receive money depending on their ranking.
Adaptive athletes
In 2021, 8 adaptive categories were introduced for the first time in the CrossFit® season. The best of the three divisions (upper extremity, lower extremity and neuromuscular) was invited to compete for the title of the fittest adaptive athlete on Earth.
Only the podiums of these 3 divisions received part of the prize pool at the end of the CrossFit® Games in 2021.
While there will continue to be athletes from the same 3 divisions competing at Madison this year, the top 3 athletes from all other divisions will also win part of the prize pool awarded!
