The book Running Nutrition and the new publication of Project Invictus, and, as the title suggests, it is aimed at all those who practice this physical activity, especially to help athletes from a nutritional point of view.
In fact, the focus of the book is there Proper nutrition in running and endurance sports, explaining in an easy way how to eat consciously and how to reduce fat mass (and therefore improve and optimize one's athletic qualities). Nutrition is therefore intended as an integral and cohesive part of training.
The author of this work is the dr. Marco Perugini, nutritionist biologist and currently collaborator of national and international professional athletes, who has chosen to structure the book in three main sections, each aimed at a different type of user.
The sections of the book Running Nutrition
The first part of the publication is dedicated to beginners, that is, to those who are approaching the race to lose weight and perhaps do not know where to start.
The second part, however, is addressed to the amateur who is already running and would like to find one more inspiration to reach new goals.
Finally, a final section for the advanced or professional runner that seeks maximum performance, even in the optimization of the diet.
In each of these three sections the reader will be able to find notions on nutrition, supplementation, and some practical examples of training.
The author also offers us the real case of a triathlon athlete, who as a beginner came to finish his first competition, demonstrating how the evolution of training goes hand in hand with that of nutrition.
More than a guide or a manual, it is a scientific approach (and partially philosophical) to the world of running.
Running Nutrition, in addition to being the title, it is also a manifestation of intent, a guiding principle. Written in a rigorous way but with that nice cut that our friends have always accustomed us to Project Invictus.
Definitely a book to recommend, which cannot be missing in the library of a demanding runner!
