7 steps to find the right box for you!

box

When, for work reasons I had to change city, I do not hide the fact that my first thought was: "Which CrossFit box will I train in now?"; the concern was to find that best suited to my needs and type of training that I was used to doing.

As I have always said, the community is like family: there are bonds that are created that are not easy to replicate. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I was very anxious, but let's be honest: the garage is the place where you train on a daily basis, where you find your sanity midweek and maybe make friends for life.

So I decided to write this article revealing the 7 steps to find the right box for you. If you are experiencing this change situation or you are not comfortable where you train now (this is also a valid reason!) read these lines, they will surely help you!

1. Know your goals

Finding the right box will be much easier if you know what you want.

What are your goals? Do you want to become a competitive athlete? Or do you do it for passion? What kind of community do you expect?

For example, I started with the idea of doing activities twice a week to keep myself in good shape. And I ended up training 5 times a week at 7 am with a bunch of amazing friends!

2. Check the affiliate boxes

On CrossFit Inc there is a "Maps" section with the list of all affiliated boxes. Always refer to these to decide. Plus you can always ask some coach if they have any advice on where to go.

3. Do some investigation

Once you have identified some places that seem interesting to you, take a look at website, lesson times e who are the coaches. Is worth search on social networks who they are and educate themselves on the way they work.

On the web there are usually many stories of training and how the box carries out the lessons.

4. Try to clarify your doubts

You usually find the box mail on pages or on social media. Ask all the questions that come to mind. Like do they offer programming? Lessons of Weightlifting o powerlifting?

Sometimes there are even Yoga classes or Osteopaths who work in collaboration with the boxes!

5. Take a trial lesson

The best way to tell if the box is right for you is to make one trial lesson.

So you understand how the coaches work, what the environment is like and what services are offered. In the end, you will be able to better evaluate the quality / price ratio.

6. Don't give up

Sometimes to feel "home"Or take"the rhythm" it takes some time. A single lesson is not enough to understand if that box is really for you.

Don't be swayed by the first impression, let some time pass and draw your own conclusions.

7. Celebrate

If you've come this far: CELEBRATES. Probably you have found a new home!
