8 factors that contribute greatly to the personal life of each athlete

The athletes of  CrossFit® they are great proof of the effectiveness of this sport. It is enough to follow a training in the box to realize that those who practice it develop excellent physical resistance and a lot of muscle tone.

In addition to obtaining a lean and defined body, we see results in many areas of our personal life. That's why we decided to unravel 8 factors that contribute greatly to the personal life of all those who decide to practice CrossFit®:

 1 - Exercises without distractions

It is an activity that involves such exercises dynamic to render almost impossible to get distracted during training. After all, it's hard to jump, squatting and getting on the ropes using cell phones or chatting - common behavior in gyms, for example!

Without these distractions, crossfitters are completely focus on doing the exercises. This is a quality that everyone should have in any sport, since focus and concentration contribute to better results.

2 - Collective spirit

Often a group is created in the classes and all they support and spur each other. Sport creates a community, which many refer to as a "family". This collective sense contributes to the adhesion and constancy of the new members, because once the bond with the group has been created, hardly anyone, even a novice, gives up on training.

3 - Clear and sport-related objectives

Why do you train? What do you hope to achieve? What are your goals and objectives? Many people go to the gym without having a clear answer to these questions or have goals related only to physical appearance (weight loss, increase in force, etc). These, perhaps, to have barely visible results can take a long time, often causing demotivation and abandonment.

In the crossfit there are clear and sport-related goals, how to be able to do the rope climb, jump on the box, do the handstand or compete in a race. We are dedicated to achieving the goal and, when we reach it, we feel satisfied and motivated to seek new goals. THE physical targets end up being the center of attention.

4 - Training outside the comfort zone

Often the run of 40 minutes in the park or the 3 series of leg-press in the gym fall into the routine, and it is done only to follow the program, without trying to get out of the so-called "comfort zone". At CrossFit®, practitioners are challenged to push beyond their limits, often for much of the workout. WOD changes every day. We always do different things!

5 - Always high intensity

CrossFit® is characterized by a high intensity workout, in which the exercises come performed quickly and repeatedly, with times of recovery minimal or zero between series. Studies show that strenuous exercise provides a high calorie expenditure (even for hours after training) e it also stimulates hormone production which contribute to muscle building and weight loss, like testosterone.

6 - Combine different sports

The workout brings together exercises of different sports like gymnastics, weight lifting, running, rowing etc. This variety of movements provides different stimuli to the body and develops multiple capacities, the person conditions and shapes his body completely.

When lifting the barbells, the strength is increased. While running, cardiovascular performance is increased. When performing gymnastic movements, coordination, balance and muscle endurance are improved; and with all these skills, the physical fitness improves a lot and health thanks.

7 - Awareness of the body

Knowing your body is essential to improve the results you want to achieve in any physical activity. By varying the exercises and bringing together different sports, CrossFit® requires awareness of the movements to be performed, as well as their own limits and possibilities. It is this self-knowledge that will help us jump, squat, lift a barbell and any other exercise in the right way.

8 - Competitiveness

As the workouts come facts in groups and challenges are created daily, this combination ends up unleashing a certain atmosphere of healthy competition in the box. In the first place, all this could only be interpreted as a competitive spirit with others, whereas instead, it is one of the reasons that will always challenge us to perform better day by day, wod for wod. In the end, we will realize that the "class" system is only a means to achieve the best personal results. Never forgetting that "there will always be one stronger than me".
