Annie Thorisdottir

Although Thorisdottir has no team experience in the CrossFit® Games, he has competed in a variety of team settings including:

Lauren Fisher

Lauren Fisher ha competed three times at the CrossFit® Games in a team. She was on the Invictus team for the first time in 2013, where she finished 7th, again in 2015 finishing 13th and climbed the podium, taking third place, with Invictus in 2019.

Outside of her individual career, her best Games finish was a 9th place in 2014. Her knack for success in the team category is the fact that despite being so experienced, she is only 27 years old! This makes it an excellent choice for any team with podium aspirations.

Khan Porter

Although Khan Porter is largely known for his individual career at the CrossFit® Games, he also competed with the Project X team in 2019.

Not only that, Porter is coming out of an impressive performance at the Wodapalooza, where his elite men's team finished second overall.

Tola Morakinyo

Tola Morakinyo he has never participated in the Games as an individual despite having come close on a couple of occasions.

However, he competed in the Games as a team three times (2017, 2018, 2019) finishing 11th, 9th and 12th respectively.

Alternative plus: Frederik Aegidius

The final piece of this puzzle is Annie Thorisdottir's longtime partner, in life and in training, Frederik Aegidius.

He has the same experience with competitive CrossFit® as many athletes, having qualified five times since 2012.

Annie Thorisdottir's statement

“Last year was my most successful season to date. Even though I didn't make it to the top of the podium at the CrossFit® Games, I still feel like I've won. So some might argue that racing in a team wasn't the best choice, but I disagree.

I've always wanted to be part of a team. I've been playing individual sports all my life and it's been great, but I've also always had a strong 'team' behind me, supporting me and helping me to be the best version of myself.

This season I saw the opportunity to do something I've always wanted to do and I couldn't be more excited.

My main goal when putting this team together was to find athletes who I knew would be willing to put in the effort to get us as far as possible.

I strongly believe that being part of a team, no individual is greater, so finding people who have the athletic skills to compete and the personality to create a great atmosphere in the team was crucial.

I think the balance in this team will be able to take us far and I'm overly excited to be able to spend time with these phenomenal people over the next 6 months.

How did all this happen? Well I made a list of athletes I knew I could get along with, then narrowed it down to the people I knew would be willing to suffer for the team and then I made the final cut to find the people I believe could potentially win the CrossFit® Games with me! "

We obviously wish you all the best!
