Annie Thorisdottir will not compete at the Rogue Invitational: here's why

The shocking news arrives at a few days before the start of Rogue Invitational 2023, where he was supposed to compete. Annie Thorisdottir, who initially accepted the invitation, will no longer be able to participate in the event.

The reason? She is expecting her 2nd child!

The two-time CrossFit® ® Games champion has shared the news on his Instagram together with Frederik Aegidius and their daughter Freyja. He indicated the expiry date in the caption: 2 May 2024.

For which we won't see her on the floor of the Rogue Invitational nor in the 2024 CrossFit® ® Games season. Annie's replacement for the Rogue Invitational will be Shelby Neal, who placed 19th at the 2023 CrossFit® ® Games.

Annie Thorisdottir is the fourth female athlete among the top 15 of the Games not to participate at this year's Rogue Invitational. Emma Tall, Katrin Davidsdottir and Alexis Raptis they declined the invitation and will not compete in Austin.
