Wod 24.3 of the CrossFit® Open 2024 announced

Fitness and CrossFit enthusiasts have finally been able to discover the details of the long-awaited WOD 24.3, presented with great enthusiasm by Jocko Fuel.

This workout represents the final chapter of the 2024 Open series, after the announcement and creation of the first two WODs (24.1 e 24.2) who have already tested their tenacity and force of athletes from all over the world.

The #24point3 wod: A Test Against Time

The WOD 24.3 was designed to test the endurance, strength and determination of athletes with a challenge against time. With a 15 minute time cap, participants are asked to complete:

Followed by a minute's rest, then:

The weights required for the men are 43 kg in the first set and 61 kg in the second, while for women the weights are respectively 30kg and 43kg. This scheme offers an explosive blend of strength and agility, presenting athletes with a multidimensional challenge.

The Athletes in Contention

As usual, four top athletes battled it out in WOD 24.3, proving once again why they are considered among the best in the global CrossFit® scene.

Among these, we had the opportunity to see in action:

Roman Khrennikov

Khrennikov made his first in-person appearance at the CrossFit®Games in 2022, despite having qualified several times previously, and finished as the second fittest man on Earth.

Last year, Khrennikov was in the running to become the champion, but a accident on his foot during Test 10 slowed him down. Despite the injury, he fought to the end — one of the most powerful moments in the history of the CrossFit® Games — and finished as the third fittest man on Earth.

Arielle Loewen

Loewen is an athlete who has competed in Regionals five times, and both Semifinals and the CrossFit® Games three times. She made her Games debut in 2021, just two years after giving birth to her daughter.

Last year was Loewen's best. In the North America West region, she won the Open and Individual Quarterfinals, and placed third in the Semifinals. She ended the year as the third fittest woman on Earth and the fittest mom in the world.

Sydney Wells

Wells earned her first Games entry by placing seventh in the North America East Semifinal. She placed 28th in her first Games appearance. Wells is also a three-time Semifinal athlete and is a former SEC gymnast and track and field athlete.

Jay Crouch

Crouch is competing in his 2023th CrossFit® Open. The athlete, who has participated in the Games six times, had an incredible season in XNUMX.

He ranked 13th globally in the Open, second in Oceania in the Quarterfinals, won the Oceania Semifinal (his second Semifinal victory) and achieved his best result at the Games — eighth overall.

The Battle for Victory

The competition ended with Jay Crouch who dominated the field, completing the WOD in just 9 minutes and 14 seconds.

Roman Khrennikov, Arielle Loewen and Sydney Wells follow closely behind, proving that the margin between victory and defeat in these matches can be just a few seconds.
