March 16 and 17 2024 will mark the return of an event that has already left an indelible mark on the world of fitness: the Bologna Throwdown 2024.
After a triumphant debut, organized by CrossFit® NTN in collaboration with AFFI and under the expert guidance of the judging body Project Judge, led by Luca Morassutto, this competition is preparing to surpass itself in its second edition.
La first edition it saw the participation of almost 1000 athletes, a number that testifies not only to the attractiveness of the event but also to the athletes' heartfelt desire for a fun and challenging race that was missing in the Bolognese panorama.
The Bologna Throwdown is not just a competition; it is a meeting place for fitness enthusiasts, a place to test yourself, overcome your limits and, above all, have fun.

Details and News of the 2024 Edition
This year, the event does will always take place at the Pederzini Sports Center, a place that promises to be the perfect backdrop to the athletes' exploits. Thanks to the efforts of the organizers the 2024 edition promises to be even more exciting.
Some time ago, we revealed some more details in the live broadcast:
The competition will welcome athletes in categories INDIVIDUAL (Regular, Elite, Master) e TEAM (MM-MW Beginner only). From the 985 athletes registered for the qualifier, they passed 180 individual athletes and 72 teams at the live phase.
The athletes coped two qualifying workouts who have put theirs to the test force, agility and resistance:
- WOD 24.1, which varied between individual and team, requiring a combination of thrusters, chest to bar, cal row, and synchronized movements for teams.
- WOD 24.2, an interval test that introduced bar facing burpees, toes to bars, and power snatch, culminating in a 1RM snatch any style for individuals, and an endurance and coordination challenge for teams.

This isn't just an event for elite athletes; it's a celebration of the fitness community, an opportunity for everyone to share their passion for sport and overcoming their limits.
At the live event, participants will compete in 5 WODs plus the final, where only the best will compete for cash prizes and gadgets from sponsors.

The structure where the event takes place is one of a kind: the JR partner hotel is exactly in front of the race field, the outdoor area around the arena will be transformed into a real village with the various vendor stands, all this accompanied by the friendliness of the Pederzini Sports Center staff and the well-stocked cafeteria.
Not even adverse weather can interfere with the fun atmosphere in Bologna: in fact, in case of rain, the race is guaranteed as it is already organized indoors and the vendors area will move inside. In short, nothing can stop the Bologna Throwdown 2024!
