Breaking News: The Buttery Bros will no longer produce the Games documentaries

In an interview with Morning Chalk Up, the boys of Buttery Bros, Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers, they revealed that they will no longer produce documentaries for CrossFit®, not even of these recent Games.

The news isn't entirely shocking, considering the CrossFit® brand he prefers to produce his own media internally, without involving outside people.

In fact, up until the 2019 Games documentary, the company had produced all the other films in the saga, such as Froning, A Decade of Fitness, The Redeemed and the Dominant, etc.

The Buttery Bross Movies

The dynamic duo, however, has always guessed the choices; after the Fittest, now the recent release of Resurgence - the 2020 Games movie; this was the number one movie downloaded from iTunes in America and eight other countries!

The news of the "separation" with CrossFit® it does not at all mean that they have finished making documentaries, on the contrary!

The guys in the interview shared many ideas they have in the pipeline! It is more likely that we will see more creative projects from them, without having our hands tied to the famous brand.

So who is producing the next Games 2021 documentary?

In one word: CrossFit®; more specifically Mariah Moore, a longtime member of the CrossFit® Games media team who “helped co-direct Fittest On Earth: A Decade of Fitness, as well as The Redeemed and Dominant” along with Cannon and Sawyers.

The projects of the Buttery Bros

In addition to being filmmakers, the two boys are also entrepreneurs! For those who don't know, the Buttery Bros in addition to having a line of accessories, have recently launched a line of supplements, pre-workout and whey together with none other than… Mat Fraser!

The idea of Podium Nutrition was born after Fraser blew up the sale of Beta Alanine with a simple phrase (“it gives me a third lung!”) during a podcast with Joe Rogan.

With just these words of the sample, the demand for the product has doubled and the sales have increased exponentially. For this reason, the idea of creating his own line of supplements seems to have caught Mat's attention.

“I wanted to offer something authentic to the community. Give them what they need and nothing that is not necessary for the type of training we do. I have relied on my experience as a competitor in CrossFit® and the intuition of sports nutrition experts to formulate the best possible products for this sport ", Fraser explained.

Heber also gave his opinion on the creation of the brand: “Our mission has always been to make CrossFit® accessible and fun for everyone. Now we want to go one step further and make proper nutrition and supplementation accessible to all with Podium Nutrition ”.
