CrossFitters break Fran's record: under 2 min

There are few things that can be done in less than two minutes: they can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand. Especially when it comes to wod o benchmarks Hero Wod, it's almost impossible to think of making it, isn't it?

What if we told you that Noah Ohlsen and Marisa Flowers managed to complete the Fran in under 2 min?

Yep, that's right!

Maybe so on the spot you don't remember what Fran is, so let's refresh your memory:

For Time (21-15-9 reps):

If with this explanation you still haven't fully understood how this wod works, here's how to do it: start by doing 21 reps of thrusters and then do the same number of pull-ups.

Once the 42 are finished (21/21), the bar is resumed to perform another 15 reps of thrusters and then 15 pull-ups. The wod ends when you finish the final 9 thrusters and 9 pull-ups.

All these repetitions were completed by Noah Ohlsen in the record time of 1 minute 49 seconds, beating (although confirmation from CrossFit® has not yet arrived) five-time champion Mat Fraser, who holds the fastest time after completing this hero wod in 2 minutes and 7 seconds.

Ma non e tutto…

Noah Ohlsen and Fran's record

The US athlete broke a new (unofficial) record by completing the wod Fran in an extraordinary time: 1:49 minutes.

Something never seen before and waiting to be validated by CrossFit® in order to be registered forever.

Despite the record time, there are those who doubt the legitimacy of the stopwatch. Like the youtuber Andrew Miller (yeah, the Batman of CrossFit®!), who in a video analyzes Noah Ohlsen's complete execution of this exercise and comments that it does not need to be validated, as the athlete does not fully extend the elbows at the end of the thrusters in many of the repetitions.

Then comes Marisa Flowers with her even better time

A week after Noah Ohlsen shared his Fran in 1:49, Marissa Flowers passed the CrossFit® Games veteran.

Flowers, who performed the Fran as part of the Wodapalooza Online Challenge qualifiers, performed the hero wod, with an incredible time of 1:45.

Flowers time she is the fastest in the world and managed to beat both Noah Ohlsen and Henry Sailes, who both have times of 1:49.

Here is the video of the execution of Marisa Flowers

Below the videoAndrew Hiller comments: “I just saw this on the Sevan Podcast and it's LEGITIMATE. Great job homie!"

Marisa Flowers it is not new in the CrossFit® landscape. In 2020 she had already broken Fran's record as a female athlete, closing it in 01:53.

In 2022, however, the athlete finished 15th in the semifinal of the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit® Challenge.
