Roster of the Dubai Fitness Championship 2022
A total of 20 men and 20 women will compete from 2 to 4 December 2022. Last year Laura Horvath and Roman Khrennikov won the tournament, but both won't be back this year.

Dubai Fitness Championship separates from CrossFit® Inc.
A few days ago, the competition organizer announced the name change from Dubai CrossFit® Championship (DCC) to Dubai Fitness Championship (DFC).
Saud AlShamsi, director of the DFC, said the decision was pinch (made with three fingers) because “the visions of CrossFit® and DFC do not coincide”.
The organization paid $ 75.000 annually for the CrossFit® brand license in a way AlShamsi defined "Not fair, I paid more than anyone else in the world", but claims he still loves the sport and can plan a comeback "if we see that CrossFit® accepts our vision."
Although some have speculated that the money DFC saves by not paying the CrossFit® brand will go to the prize pool to attract more athletes, AlShamsi denied this possibility.
“No, the prizes will be the same. DCC or DFC will always continue to take place and attract the biggest names in the sport of CrossFit® and fitness enthusiasts from around the world, ”she said.
