Eric Roza explains Dave Castro's resignation

The big question that hovered in the air in the last few weeks and that made people talk a lot, was precisely in relation to reasons that led to the Dave Castro fired from CrossFit®.

After all, the CEO of the company, Eric Roza, announced the departure of Dave from CrossFit® LLC, without providing much information on the reasons for the retirement of one of the main figures in our sport.

Indeed, it appears that a lot of people didn't like Roza's action. On the other hand, many understood and supported Castro's exit from the company.

However, the Morning Chalk Up team announced that they received exclusive information through an employee who agreed to speak as long as his identity was not disclosed.

Dave Castro's departure may have reportedly been a choice of Roza because he felt the former manager would not be able to work in a more communal way.

The reason for the resignation of Dave Castro

The information was obtained on Monday, January 10, after the CEO himself held a video call with his employees to explain Castro's departure from the CrossFit® company.

According to the official, Roza's responses were "very closed and not sincere”And would only answer questions that were sent prior to the meeting.

“He seemed very tried and not sincere. The call was scheduled for 30 minutes and exactly

Entity stopped her at the 30-minute mark. No answers were given to questions other than those sent to him ", the official added.

Need for collaborative leadership

The official also pointed out that in the email sent to everyone, informing of Castro's resignation, the CEO highlighted the need to "better support CrossFit® progress plans".

Also according to the anonymous employee, no changes have been highlighted for the upcoming Nobull CrossFit® Games 2022. Therefore, it seems that the plan devised by the former general manager will be used, at least for this edition of the games.

The American news team even had access to exclusive audio from an excerpt from the videoconference.

In it, Roza highlights a possible lack of "collaborative leadership" on Dave Castro's part. “Although I have infinite respect for Dave's contributions in collaborating with so many of you to build CrossFit® ...

I didn't feel he was the right person to build this collaborative leadership role for the sports team in the future. This is simply the reason, there is nothing more to add. Even if not all of you agree with my decision, my hope is that you understand and respect my right to take it ”.

These are the words of Eric Roza .... And you, what do you think?
