Italian Showdown 2019: the three qualifying WODs of the April 26

CrossFit Italian Showdown 2019. The most awaited event by Italian athletes and enthusiasts has finally arrived. Already on the day of April 25, 1000 athletes are invited to check-in in Milan Malpensa Fairs, from the 5 of the afternoon, to signal their presence and collect the dedicated passes.

From Friday 26 April the most important day begins, the one that will select the best 280 athletes which will be admitted, with no more preliminary stages, to the days of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28.

Let's go immediately to find out what i am qualification wod provided for on Friday's batteries.

A premise, before starting: i three mini-WODs that we present here will have to be executed in sequence with only one minute of pause (1 min rest) to then begin the second one. Then another breath, to begin the third one. We will also explain how the score is calculated.

You will have to run every WOD in RX or Scaled, but you won't be able to mix in the same mini-wod. It will be enough to inform the judge of his intention. Here is the planned work.

Qualifier 1 - Q1

In 3 minutes perform (Maximum available time, 3 minutes)
Buy In (The exercise is done only once)
25 cal SkiErg - The execution time (Tie-Break Time) will be calculated

Then, for Max Points (until you get the maximum possible score in 3 minutes)
Handstand Push-Up (In RX, 10 points for each repetition)
Hand Release Push-Up (In Scaled, 1 point for each repetition)

Qualifier 2 - Q2

In 3 minutes perform (Maximum available time, 3 minutes)
Buy In (The exercise is done only once)
25 Kettlebell Deadlift 36kg women / 48kg men

Then, for max distance (up to cover as many meters as possible in 3 minutes)

Thruster 45kg women / 70kg men (in RX 10 points for repetition)
Front Squat 45kg women / 70kg men (in Scaled 1 point by repetition)
