The 10 bodybuilders with the most spectacular arms

In the world of competitions bodybuilding male, one of the characteristics that immediately stands out among the competitors is the size of their arms, sometimes challenging the limits of what is physically possible.

Of course every bodybuilding competitor has impressive arms, so it is not easy to rank the most spectacular arms.

The 10 athletes we selected, however, really stood out for the size and muscularity of their upper limbs.

LEROY COLBERT

Leroy is considered the first bodybuilder to develop a 54 cm bicep! He also became famous for having developed some training techniques, including the famous "21 curl ", in which 7 biceps curls were performed from shoulder to chest, 7 chest-down curls and the last 7 full curls.

Furthermore, he was one of the first pioneers to standardize arm training alternately, and the first black man to appear on the cover of Muscle Power!

LARRY SCOTT

Larry Scott was the first man to claim the title of Mr Olympia between 1965 and 1966; Larry boasted an enviable physique, but his arms were certainly his greatest asset force.

Bodybuilder historians have even given his name to an exercise, the "Scott Curl ", precisely because he was the first to perform bicep curls with the upper arm resting on a shelf.

SERGIO OLIVE

3 times champion Mr Olympia, Sergio Oliva became famous above all for the photo taken at a pool table with his huge biceps in the foreground.

His arms were so spectacular, that pure myth Arnold Schwarzenegger feared him as an opponent.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

7 times champion Mr Olympia, Arnold is definitely one of the most bodybuilding related names in the world.

Famous for his career in entertainment and politics, from a sporting point of view his strengths were certainly his chest and arms.

His secret to such powerful arms? Focus on the muscles and not the weights. Arnold's two favorite exercises were the barbell bicep curl and cable tricep extensions.

LOU FERRIGNO

When Schwarzenegger was the king of bodybuilding, he came, Lou Ferrigno, with equally large and powerful muscles, if not more.

His biceps were impressive, but even more noteworthy were his triceps, round, detailed and with clearly visible muscle fibers.

But Lou never won Mr Olympia, he never beat Schwarzenegger!

LEE PRIEST

The Australian champion was one of the lowest competitors of all competitions, but his arms were the envy of most.

Priest was known for training with significant weights between 6 and 8 reps for biceps and triceps.

MARKUS RHUL

Rhul was champion of the Toronto Pro in 2000, of the Night Of Champions in 2002 and finished third in the Arnold Classic in 2003.

Fans went crazy to see him pose in the off season; he weighed more than 140 kg and his arms were huge.

RONNIE COLEMAN

Many consider Coleman the greatest bodybuilder of all time; 8 times champion Mr Olympia, he managed to get on stage very tight with 137 kg of muscle mass.

His favorite bicep exercises are: the preacher curl and the single-arm concentrated curl; for the triceps, on the other hand, dips and extensions lying down with the EZ barbell.

PHIL HEATH

Il Undisputed best bodybuilder of the 2010s, Phil “the gift” Heath, was 7 times Mr Olympia champion.

Among his favorite exercises stands out what he himself called "Heath Curl”: Instead of alternating the curl between one arm and the other, he performed several repetitions first to the right and then to the left.

ROELLY WINKLAAR

Winklaar became famous for his explosive triceps; his arms measure 59 cm and his forearms 51 cm.

Winklaar likes to train the triceps together with the chest, preferring the pushdowns a pinch (made with three fingers) reverse and dumbbell kickbacks.
