Open results 2024: who won and Italian podiums

Oh yeah guys: The 2024 Open is over! In recent days we have witnessed some changes in position and corrections to the leaderboard but now we already have the qualifiers for the next phase of the competition: the Quarterfinals 2024.

We would like to remind you that even i quarterfinals will be held online. However, only athletes who have participated in the RX'D competition qualify for this stage, regardless of their category, be it teen, master or elite.

The 3 wods of the Open 24

This season was “unusual”. They were 3 intense WODs have been released which, despite having been more inclusive, they have not lost in intensity and complexity for the big names of the discipline.

To give you an idea of this complexity, the sextuple champion Tia Clair Toomey and Brooke Wells did not complete theopen 24.3, which brought them down in the ranking (mand they qualify anyway!).

It is important to note that the big names in CrossFit® usually they do not perform at their best in the Open phase, where a large number of competitors move on to the next phase. As a result, it is quite common not to see them as Open winners.

It is worth, however, rank among the top 5 of the competition to guarantee yourself an interesting extra income. This year, each round of the Open brought $2.024 to each WOD winner, while the overall winners of the Open 24 receive $15.000 (1st place), $10.000 (2nd place), $7.500 (3rd place ), $6.000 (4th place) and $5.000 (5th place), a considerable sum for those finishing high on the podium.

On the other hand, saving your energy at the beginning can be an interesting strategy to reach the quarterfinals!
