Quarterfinals CrossFit® Games 2023: WOD, details and considerations

If you are looking for information about WOD gods Quarterfinals 2023, you are in the right place. Today we see all the details of this decisive phase of the competition and the challenges athletes will face to make it to the floor at Madison this year.

Meanwhile, we already tell you that there are some new ones at this stage: Crossover and or Chest-to-Wall Handstand Push-up. These exercises surprised many athletes last year at the CrossFit® Games, and now we will have the opportunity to see who has continued to train and improve their skills.

About the 2023 CrossFit® Games Quarterfinals:

The quarterfinals are the second phase of the competition towards the NOBULL CrossFit® Games 2023. The best 10% of individuals, 10% of age group athletes and 25% of teams by region of Opens will be invited to compete in this virtual stage, which is taking place these days, exactly from 16 to 19 March.

During the Quarterfinals, the athletes will face 5 WODs, to be performed in three presentation windows of the results of 24 hours each. Results and corresponding videos must be submitted within these time windows.

CrossFit® Games 2023 Quarterfinals WOD

Listed below are the 5 WODs from the 2023 CrossFit® Games Quarterfinals. Each WOD will be detailed in a separate section for ease of reading and understanding.

WOD #1 – 1 round for time

9 Front Squats, weight 1 (heaviest)

9 Handstand Walk, 25 feet (7,62 meters)

15 Front Squats, weight 2

15 muscle ups

21 Front Squats, weight 3 (lightest)

21 Chest-to-Wall Handstand Push-ups

WOD #2- AMRAP 12 minutes:

How many qualify for the Semifinals?

From the quarterfinals only 60 men, 60 women and 40 teams will be invited to participate North America East, North America West and Europe Semifinals.

Furthermore, 30 men, 30 women and 20 teams will be invited to participate semi-finals of Africa, Asia, Oceania and South America.

for age categories, 30 men and 30 women from each of the quarter-final groups will be invited to the online semi-finals specific to these categories.
