Reebok CrossFit® Games 2019: 4 Day

All the beautiful things, sooner or later, end and unfortunately they did too CrossFit® Games 2019. Fortunately, however, they did it with the proverbial final bang that leaves us two winners perhaps announced as Matt Fraser e Tia Toomey but that surely have had to sweat to win the reconfirmation.

In the final rush from the 4 round, Matt Fraser takes the top and returns to sit on the throne for the 4 ^ consecutive time, equaling Rich Froning. A victory that at some point seemed to be under discussion but the Colchester champion was able to stay focused, reassemble the limited accumulated disadvantage and defend the title. After yet another mini-stretch in waterPerhaps Noah Ohlsen (3 ° / 4 ° / 5 ° / 2 °) he really hoped for it, but in the remaining heats Fraser (5 ° / 2 ° / 1 ° / 1 °) was close to perfection, becoming inexorable. The native of Florida merit not only of having tried but of being surely what he is gone closer to interrupt the hegemony of Fittest Man on the Planet. In addition, the value of an edition of the Games that made us discover an even more dangerous Ohlsen and ready to try again next year. Closes the podium Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson, with a reasonable margin on Scott Panchik, anyway kept at a distance always coming in front of him; no chance to re-enter the race for the victory for the Icelandic who returns to the podium at 4 years later.

It is a victory by dispersion, instead, that collected by Tia Toomey that with 195 final margin points, not only could he even skip the last event without questioning his leadership, but he also recorded the widest gap ever between 1 ^ and 2 ^ at the Women's Games. THE'aussie set tris thanks to the simply impeccable Games and even in the final day it does not limit itself to administer (1 ° / 3 ° / 4 ° / 1 °) but crushes on the accelerator. TO Kristin Holte the honor of weapons remains, of those who have tried with courage and the smile of those who take home, at 33 years, the best placement in career games. The osloense (6 ° / 3 ° / 7 ° / 4 °) defends the post of "Before the Human" from the assault of Jamie Greene (4 ° / 6 ° / 6 ° / 2 °) that recovers ground both in water and in the last events but fails to conquer the place of honor.

Fifth success in six years: if there was no mockery of the Wasatch CrossFit 2017, the domain Mayhem Freedom it would be even more impressive. Since his majesty Rich Froning has decided to widen the circle and has traced - and indeed surpassed - the footprints drawn up on its own. And the 2019 is no exception: win with 198 points ahead CrossFit® Krypton. The super team formed by Froning, Chyno Cho, Tasia Percevecz e Dre Strohm closes this edition with 5 victories on 9 events, the podium missed only twice and with an 5 ° place as worst placement in a WOD. Simply too much for anyone. TO Jessica Griffith, Adam Klink, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Cody Mooney e Alec Smith the place of honor with, it must be said, an excellent margin of advantage over the team Invictus which closes at the 3 ° place.

They were Games with winners a little 'but discounted certainly they have not spared in emotions and as usual, they gave rise to many new WODs and exercises to recalibrate in the boxes. Something that will get us back to Madison for CrossFit® Games 2020 with a smile next year and the desire to see what new faces they will present themselves as trained to change music and history. Meanwhile here i WOD of the Day 4 and Top 10 final order of arrival.
