The end of the Open: the results after 21.3 and 21.4

After many requests, the director of the Games Dave Castro, delighted all the fans and disappointed no one by putting it together 2 workouts that contained virtually all skills missing for the end of the Open.

They were two WODs (21.3 and 21.4) that united the passions of most crossfitters: gymnastics and weightlifting.

While we still have to wait for the brand judges' review to confirm the results, we can already point out some names that have excelled in the overall standings.

Here are the highlights of this year's ranking.

MAN

On the world stage who won the 2021 Open was the Canadian Jeffrey Adler. He was 5th in the world in the 2020 Open and participated in the 2019 Games reaching 33rd place and at the 2020 Games finishing in 5th place.

Good news was the 5th place by Rich Froning Jr, since it has not been so well positioned in the Open ranking for a long time.

For now, whoever won the primacy in 21.3 was the Argentine Augustin Richelme with the incredible time of 7:40 followed by the Games athlete Noah Ohlsen with a time of 07:44.

In 21.4 instead, the absolute leader is the American Graciano Rubio with 365 lbs. All of this is still pending validation by CrossFit.

WOMAN

It must be said that many suspected that Tia Toomey would not have been able to achieve optimal results at the end of the Open as she spent most of the off season training for a place in the Australian team of bobsled, but ...

The Queen did not disappoint us! She dodged them all and positioned herself right in top of the ranking, followed by the very young Argentine athlete Emma Cary, who at just 17 has already revealed herself to be a star of this sport.

Tia has cclosed 21.3 in 1st position with a time of 07:37, closely followed by the American athlete Mallory O'Brien with an extraordinary time of 07:38 and the third place goes to the American Bethany Shadburne with a time of 07:40.
