Greg Glassmann's announcement of the sale of CrossFit® Inc. a Eric roza took us all by surprise. With a tweet he announced this news:

The first question we ask ourselves is: who is the new owner? Will he be qualified to carry this philosophy forward? Will this change have the effect expected by the whole community?

Affiliates received an email from Dave Castro where he said:
Dear affiliates,
I am happy to introduce you to Eric Roza. Once the deal is finalized next month, he will be the new owner and CEO of CrossFit® and I am excited to partner with him to ferry the company to this later stage.
Eric is one of us. He is a 10 year old CrossFit® athlete and founder of CrossFit®Sanitas in Boulder, Colorado. Former founder of Datalogix, now owned by Oracle.
Eric knows how to talk to the press. He also knows how to create excellent and inclusive work environments. His Datalogix was one of the best places to work according to Outside Magazine.

Despite the vast curriculum in CrossFit®, there is no evidence that this change will be truly positive for the world of our sport. The only thing we can do is hope and wish the new CEO good luck!
