Alessandra Pichelli announces her retirement from CrossFit®

On November 2, 2021, the elite athlete Alessandra Pichelli announced her retirement from CrossFit® competitive with a post on his Instagram page.

Pichelli has been a mainstay of the CrossFit® Games for most of the last decade. Since his debut at the CrossFit® Games in 2012, was part of the Diablo CrossFit® Anejo team and then competed as an individual on eight separate occasions since 2013.

"It was such a difficult decision to retire after the last CrossFit® Games!"

Alessandra Pichelli's best placement in the Games was in 2013, when she narrowly missed the podium with an overall fourth place.

In 2021, she was ranked seventh in the world in the CrossFit® Open. According to the caption of his Instagram post, this was his reasoning to close the curtain on his competitive CrossFit® career:

"I would like to spend more time with my husband and my family and start saying yes to some of the opportunities you have to say no to if you want to pursue certain goals ..."
