In the week of the Games, we CrossMag authors Barbara (@babibierMartina (@smarties_unicorn), David (@da_zamb) and Stefano (@furkia_rowing_bikeerg) we decided to place bets on which are the 5 athletes who will survive this first online stage and make it to the final.
Thing? Still don't know how this year's Games will take place? Read all about it here.
Unlike the Rogue Invitational, there will be no live broadcast of the athletes competing. The broadcasts will be informative for the public only and will be produced by Niki Brazier and Sean Woodland.
La leaderboard it will only be released when all results are published. And, unlike the Open, the athletes they will not be able to do it again as often as they want the same workout. Once they leave, they can't go back!
Well, we instead hypothesized who they are, according to personal tastes and based on technical performance, which athletes will reach the final ... Who knows if we got it right!

BARBARA BIER
My assumptions in the cco ours online qualifier they rely heavily on the results of the Open and those of the Rogue.
We know they will run because access to a 300m track was required to go and 300m to return. They will have the row but not the airbike.
It is worth mentioning that they will be judged by a judge sent by CrossFit®. In other words, there will be no revision afterwards ...
Women
- Tia-Clair Toomey - Champion of the last three editions of the Games and champion at Rogue.
- Sara Sigmundsdottir - Since her Open debut in 2015, Sara has won the Open 3 times and has only been out of the top 5 once.
- Kristin Holte - Second placed at the Games last year, she finished third in the last 2 Open. His participation in Rogue Invitational was not the best (9th place), but I think he may have a great chance of making it in the end.
- Kari Pearce - The best American athlete around in my opinion! She is always a strong candidate for titles.
- Katrin Tanja Davidsdottir - even with a bad result at the 2019 Games, we can never doubt a two-time champion. Katrin has the potential to make it to the podium.
Men
- Mathew Fraser - In my opinion Fraser qualifies easily, the four-time champion is very strong in all styles of competition and I believe he takes first place in the first and second stages.
- Patrick Vellner - The number 2 in 2018 comes from a good year, where he finished 1st at the Open and is a very strong athlete.
- Noah Ohlsen - the runner-up of 2019 had a thirst for victory this year, I think he easily reaches the final. He will be an opponent equal to Fraser.
- Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson – One of the guys I bet the most for the next few years. Bjorgvin is part of the new generation that comes with a lot force and determination to win titles.
- Brent Fikowski - I don't think Fikowski is in his prime as an athlete, but we can't ignore him. I bet Fikowski will fight and gain entry to the final.
MARTINA MARISE
Unlike some here, I confess that my choice is partly based on facts (of the best athletes) and partly on wishful thinking, that is who I would like to see fight in the final:
Women
Tia Clair Toomey
Katrin Davidsdottir
Sara Sigmundsdottir
Dani Speegle
KaraSaunders
Men
Matthew Fraser
Patrick Vellner
Bjorgven Karl Gudmundsson
Noah Ohlsen
Cole Sager
STEFANO URSO
Based on the results of the last few years and my personal tastes, I believe (and wish) that the top 5 were the following:

Kristin Holte
Tia Clair Toomey
Melina Rodríguez
Sanna Venalainen
MEN
Matthew Fraser
Patrick Vellner
Noah Ohlsen
Brent Fikowski
Peter Shaw
DAVID ZAMBON
I state that I am a powerlifter and therefore I am not the person most on the hunt to talk about crossfitters. But I have some characters that I think are really strong and that I think will do the c ... or the others:
Sara Sigmundosdottir
Katrin Tanja Davidsdottir
(the Dottir are a powerhouse guys, in every sense 😉)
Tia Clair Toomey
Kristin Holte
Laura Horvath
MEN
Mat Fraser
(undisputed champion!)
Noah Ohlsen
Jacob Heppner
Patrick Vellner
Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson
