CrossFit® doesn't stop!
Let's open the article with this sentence that has been running on social media for some time. As reiterated in other articles, we have seen many solidarity demonstrations both from the students and from the pits, who have continued to fight against this great economic crisis that is assailing us due to the coronavirus.
From this context comes the contribution from CrossFit® Inc, which has decided to make one fundraising to support the affiliate boxes they are meeting financial difficulties.
It is a mini edition of the famous "Open" to do at home. Yes, strictly at home. WODs will come out every week and will be judged by professionals. Famous athletes have already commented that they can't wait to participate!
According to the official announcement, all the movements would be feasible and simple to do from your home, as you can read here.

How will it work?
The pattern will be slightly different from what we are used to.
They will be alone 3 weeks, instead of 5. Registrations can be made on the site games.crossfit.com/open and started on April 1st and will last until the end of the race (unlike the Open, which usually ends registration after the first week).
The first training session was released last Friday, April 3.
There he is:
10 min AMRAP:
10 squat
9 dumbbells snatch (right)
10 push up
9 dumbbell snatch (left)
Weights: 15kg woman / 22kg man
Who can participate?
Anyone! Everyone can participate and there will be no cost.
However, for those who wish, there will be the possibility of donate from $ 20,00 to US $ 1,000,00 for the affiliate box you want.
There is no need to participate in the competition, nor to be an athlete to donate. Just enter the site and make this noble gesture.
CrossFit® Inc. also encourages calling family or friends who are not yet practicing CrossFit® to participate in this initiative.
In this way, who knows, a love for our sport will be born and the Crossfitters family will grow!
How will the WOD be validated?
It has not yet been announced how the WOD will be validated, whether through judges or videos, or what the standards for movements will be.
The official launch was on April 3 and, through the site, they gave indications on how to register and the general rules of the event.

What movements can come out?
Since we are talking about open, it is worth reviewing some classic movements that can be inserted.
There is already some speculation: burpees (we will be sure!), Double Unders (with scaled adaptation for those who don't know how to do it maybe), push-ups (which has not appeared in the official Open since 2012), air squat, lunges, pistols, HSPU (we are not sure).
In any case, just as our coaches are putting in the effort by creating specific workouts to keep us fit from home, this time we can help them by signing up for a healthy competition to help our beloved boxes, right?
United we will do it!
