For those who don't know, this weekend (22-24 Novembre) took place on first Sanctional event of the 2020 season by CrossFit®. Many famous names have been seen at the Punchestown racecourse in Dublin (Ireland) including Sara Sigmundsdottir, Samantha Briggss, Kristin Holte, Adrian Mundwiler, Will Moorad and Sean Sweeney.
The Filthy 150 was born as race in an Irish box mainly for teams made up of 4 athletes, but soon became a reference competition for the whole community.
This was the 7 ° edition and we saw some news: the creation of two new divisions, Team Elite and Elite Individuals.
The winners of each category have earned, in addition to the cash prize, the invitation to the next CrossFit® Games 2020.

But let's see together how this incredible weekend went:
ELITE INDIVIDUAL WOMEN
In the last three days, all the athletes have participated in 9 events which concluded in the final event last night. Throughout the competition, Sigmundsdottir remained at the top of the rankings. Her best result was Friday the 22nd, when she succeeded in one snatch weighing 95kg, incredible!
The Icelandic athlete did an excellent competition in all workouts; she never went beyond 3rd place and took home 1st in two wods.
Holte almost equaled Sigmundsdottir with the exception of a 9th place in the 1RM Snatch event and a 4th place in the final event, Squared & Rooted, thus finishing with a 2nd place overall.
At the 3 ° place, however, we saw the Irish national champion Emma McQuaid, who remained off the radar for the whole weekend. His constancy was rewarded however with the podium.

Behind these three women, however, there was a real battle for an invitation to the CrossFit® Games. Athletes such as Andrea Solberg, Sam Briggs, Emelie Lundberg and Stephanie Chung were vying for the top spot.
Emelie Lundberg and Stephanie Chung fought, but Solberg didn't give anyone a break. Sam Briggs also did his best by entering the floor on Sunday with a lot of energy, winning a 3rd place and finishing first in the final event, but still did not earn enough points to beat Solberg.
And so the Elite Women ended the race with this rank:
General classification
1. Sara Sigmundsdottir (840) - $ 12.000
2. Kristin Holte (812) - $ 6.000
3. Emma McQuaid (700) - $ 4.000
Ranking of Sanctional invitations
1. Andrea Solberg (640) - won the invitation to the games
2. Sam Briggs (606)
3. Emelie Lundberg (600)
ELITE INDIVIDUAL MAN
While most of the elite women of the competition already counted athletes qualified for the Games, the men's team was not at all. Will Moorad, Sean Sweeney and Adrian Mundwiler competed in an attempt to earn an invite.
Earlier in the weekend, however, another name rose in the charts: Justin Medeiros. At just 20 years, Medeiros is twice a competitor to the CrossFit Fort Vancouver Regionals. After arriving 68 in the CrossFit Open 2020, he participated in the Filthy 150 to win the invitation to CrossFit® Games.
Medeiros faced veterans and stood out among all. With just one mistake, an 16 in place on Sunday morning's Trek Run, he was the first example of consistency throughout the weekend.
He never won an event, but he always ended up in the Top 3, beating the 2 finished Roman Khrennikov with a difference of 38 points.
Tim Paulson, who had already qualified via the Open, finished third.
So Elite Male finished the weekend with this final rank:
General classification
1. Justin Medeiros (726) - $ 12.000
2. Roman Khrennikov (688) - $ 6.000
3. Tim Paulson (634) - $ 4.000
Ranking of Sanctional invitations
1. Justin Medeiros (726) - won the invitation to the games
4. Cedric Lapointe (582)
6. Will Moorad (548)
Other important news
Jonne Koski retired on 1 the day after suffering from food poisoning on Thursday.

Mundwiler, who competed intensely on day 2, started with two poor performances on Sunday and withdrew from the final event.
Moorad and Sweeney, two of the favorites in the competition, finished 6 ° and 7 ° respectively.
ELITE TEAM
While the Open plays an important role for those who want to qualify for the Games, for the teams the story is different: the only way is to win one of the 28 Sanctionals.
The CrossFit Filthy 150 was the first opportunity for the teams to do it.
The elite team competition has had 8 events in the past three days. Throughout the weekend, two European teams, The Athlete Program and The Progrm, were very energized and close to the top of the table. The result changed, however, on Sunday.
ROMWOD MeatSquad started on Friday with a disastrous 1 event, winning the 13 place. From there it was only a matter of time to gain ground on the rest of the race.
After Event 1, ROMWOD MeatSquad never came out of the Top 3 under any circumstances. Combined with two event wins, ROMWOD MeatSquad climbed to the top of the leaderboard on Sunday and stayed there.
Thus the teams The Athlete Program and The Progrm lost too many points and fell respectively to the 2 ° and to the 3 ° place.
Also for the teams the competition ended with this final rank:
General classification
1. ROMWOD MeatSquad (650) - $ 12.000
2. The Progrm (600) - $ 6.000
3. The Athlete Program (592) - $ 4.000
