Gabriela Migala she was a model of consistency: she was the only woman to finish all the events in the top 10.
On Sunday, the Polish athlete got a big advantage over Andrea Solberg (2nd place) taking home his first win in a Sanctional, after winning 4th place in the Dubai Championship in December and 2nd place in the Strength in Depth in January.
So far Migala has been the crossfitter more active by participating in three Sanctional races in this 2019/2020 season and with each performance, the results have improved. Which shows his marked improvement and maturity in the long road to the Games. We will certainly see some beautiful ones in August.
Thanks to Migala and Solberg who have already earned their seats at the Games, the invitation to the Norwegian race was delivered to Sanna Venaläinen: Finland's second fittest woman in this year's Open.
She, in fact, managed to beat six other athletes who had very close scores, whose final goal for all was the victory of the notorious invitation. Sunday was decisive and thanks to her perseverance and tenacity she managed to finish in third position, beating the fourth classified, Jacqueline Dahlstrøm by only 7 points.

MEN
For Griffin Roelle the weeks leading up to the Norwegian Crossfit® Championship they were nothing short of stressful. After being at the top of the ranking of the Rogue Invitational Qualifier, some penalties, during the final review of his video, excluded him from participation, and bad luck wanted it to be for only one point!
But in this race he left the frustration aside and had a brilliant performance on the Norwegian field: managed to earn the invitation to the Games.
After finishing last in the first event, he recovered six times in the top 5 and won three more heats.
Two of these victories came on the final day, in the last two events, and sparked the frenzy of the crowd.
In the eighth event, a WOD of 3RM Front squats amazing, Roelle made it look 165 kg like child's stuff. Instead, in the final, a heated battle started against Viktor Langsved. But the American got the better of it, ending in 10:39.
Roelle won't make the trip to Columbus for the Rogue Invitational in May, but a trip to Madison in August is a worthy replacement, isn't it?

Throughout the weekend, the battle at the top between The progm e The Athlete Program it was breathtaking head to head.
On the final day The Progrm managed to have a 13-point lead by finishing in 2nd place in the seventh event and in first place in the final event.
The Athlete Program did not let go and brought home three wins in the heats, but despite the excellent performances they did not manage to finish at the top of the ranking and the invitation to the Games went to The Progrm.
