I NOBULL CrossFit® Games of 2022, which took place in Madison (WI) from 3 to 7 August 2022, will be remembered for a very long time.
The six-time Fittest Woman on Earth® in charge, Tia-Clair Toomey, has become the most successful Games competitor in history. The two-time Fittest Man on Earth® in charge, Justin Medeiros, became the third individual male athlete to win Games titles twice.
The four-time Fittest Man on Earth®, Rich Froning, became the first athlete to achieve double-digit titles at the Games after winning his sixth championship in the Team category as the captain of CrossFit® Mayhem Freedom.
However, one of the The most iconic moments of the 2022 Games was undoubtedly the effort of Rebecca Fuselier in Event Five: The Capitol.
Despite the 39th place in the event with a time of 54: 42.90, to see a fatigued Fuselier carrying a Rogue Husafell bag on the last steps of the Capitol building in Madison, surrounded by the spectators present, it was our favorite scene!
"It's a bittersweet moment of the competitive spirit, which CrossFit® seeks to promote."
After the third day of competition, Fuselier posted a video on her youtube channel telling her thoughts on the experience and her mentality at that time:
Completely exhausted from the work done in the scorching heat, Rebecca Fuselier chose to carry the Husafell bag with one pinch (made with three fingers) front instead of on the shoulder, as did all the competitors who reached the finish line before her.
It was a strategic mistake that led to the photo likely to be used in CrossFit® promotional material for years to come.
