The format
Hyrox tries to ensure that all the events that take place, both in Spain and internationally, follow the same format.

If he doesn't, he won't be able to go on to the next kilometre and then to the next workout. The athlete who crosses the finish line at the end of kilometer 8 wins and that he completed all the different workouts of each kilometer.
These are the 8 workouts

How can you prepare for a Hyrox?
If you come from the CrossFit® world, you will see that the events are very similar to the usual wods you make at the box.
However, Hyrox has launched the program Hyrox Gym Official to offer gyms a series of advantages that help them gain loyalty and attract more members.
Furthermore, Hyrox also offers the possibility to become a Hyrox instructor to anyone who wants it. With this training you will learn everything about this sport.
Tips for preparing for a Hyrox
If you want to remove all doubts and stop wondering what this new trend is, we recommend reading the following tips that will help you get started without problems:
- Make sure you can run a total of 8km. You don't need to do them all in a row, as a Hyrox will do them all in a staggered fashion.
- Introduce resistance training sessions at least once a week. On average, people need 80-100 minutes to finish a Hyrox, and we recommend you do EMOM o Amrap on any of the cardio machines you'll find in your CrossFit® box.
- Introduce progressive overload workouts into your daily routine. In a Hyrox you will have to pull and push a weighted sled. If you're not used to this in your CrossFit® box, it's time to start training!
- If after reading this article you are interested in participating in a HYROX race, we advise you to visit their Official site for more information. You will also be able to see the complete calendar of events and the standards of each workout!
