There is nofemale athlete bigger than Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr in the world of CrossFit®, given that he is the athlete with the most individual victories at the CrossFit® Games (he won for 6 consecutive years).
However, over the past year, rumors have surfaced about his possible retirement, things that have not happened at all. In fact, she is pinch (made with three fingers) just 'a break' in 2023 for a happy reason...
If you remember, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has announced her pregnancy shortly after the 2022 CrossFit® Games and gave birth to her daughter Willow a few months later. So, after only a short period of training, Tia-Clair attended the Rogue Invitational 2023, finishing in second place.
On that occasion, he commented that the Rogue helped her understand what level she was in post-birth, stating that he still had to get used to all the changes in his body (see here).
Now, however, it's official: Tia-Clair is ready to get back to winning ways, as she showed in a YouTube video of her first workout in preparation for the 2024 Open.

Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr's workout
Tia-Clair has started training with some stretching and mobility exercises, then moving on to weight training. Her coach and husband, Shane Orr, analyzed the areas to improve, setting the training based on his observations.
Il first exercise performed by Tia-Clair was the Power Clean followed by one deep front squat. She focused on the correct alignment between her hips and shoulders, which allows her to “push from the floor” with legs. Apparently, for every Power Clean, Tia-Clair did two squats.
The next part of Tia-Clair's training involved several series, each of which consists of three exercisesi: a deadlift for 10 repetitions, followed by a seated (floor) variation ofArnold Press (Dumbbell Overhead Press), and concluded with a 30-second hold with a sandbag.
Next, Tia-Clair has continued with another sequence, which included Echo Bike, Rower, Power Cleans and Muscle-Ups. Although she already appears in fantastic shape, Tia-Clair has not yet regained the level of fitness she had before her pregnancy, making training quite challenging, especially due to the short rest periods, as she points out in the video.
“I haven't breathed like that since the Rogue (Invitational)… That workout really got my lungs breathing… I would have needed twice as much rest as the short rest I got today.
I don't change the schedule (in the offseason); I think I would feel too guilty. But I think at this point it's much more difficult...What I do today will make things better when the time comes.”
When she finished training, Tia-Clair continued filming the video from home, taking this opportunity to share more thoughts on his participation in the 2023 Rogue Invitational.
“Getting back to the gym was essential to my future goals, but I knew that attending the Rogue (Invitational) would be a key part of setting myself up for success. Just for to remove rust and see where I was physically."

Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr he did not specify what his goal is for the 2024 CrossFit® Games, but it's hard to imagine it not being the gold medalist.
He has won the Games in his last six consecutive appearances, meaning he is more than capable of doing so again. Furthermore, her participation in the Rogue Invitational 2023 proved that her pregnancy left no negative effects, having achieved an excellent result despite a short preparation period.
So, now that Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has already started preparing for the 2024 CrossFit® Games, it is very likely to arrive in even better shape.
The Games will take place August 8-11, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. However, the first of the three qualifying stages, CrossFit® Open 2024, will take place in online format on February 29th and will last until March 18th. Tia-Clair will need to participate and pass each of the qualifying stages to reach the CrossFit® Games.
We'll see 😉
