The 2023 Rogue Invitational took place October 26-29 at Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, Texas. As the second most important CrossFit® competition of the season, it brought together top-level athletes.
As a result, Rogue has ddetermined to push athletes to their absolute limits through a total of 9 workouts in 4 days of competition.
Each workout was special in its own way, but all were extremely difficult. Ultimately the most versatile were crowned, who turned out to be Patrick Vellner and Laura Horvath.

Rogue Invitational 2023: Men's winner
The first event of the 2023 Rogue Invitational did not appear to be in Patrick Vellner's favor, as he finished in 13th place out of 20. However, he is an athlete known for starting badly and then recovering.
After this difficult start, Patrick Vellner has achieved an impressive winning streak in the next five events, in which he never dropped below fourth place. So, by the end of the third day, Patrick Vellner had conquered a large lead at the top of the standings.
On the final day, Patrick Vellner's main task was to resist. His performances were not like in the previous days, but they were still sufficient to guarantee him the victory.

- 2st wod: 2th place
- 3st wod: 3th place

This is the second time Patrick Vellner wins the Rogue Invitational, which puts him on par with Justin Medeiros. Vellner has reached the podium several times in well-known competitions (like the CrossFit® Games, and others), but he was often one step away from the gold medal.
So, there is no doubt that he deserved to win this title!

Rogue Invitational 2023: Women's Winner
As expected, Laura Horvath and Tia-Clair Toomey immediately began their battle: already in the first event of the competition they competed against each other with heavy backpacks on their shoulders. Tia-Clair Toomey won the workout, but Laura wasn't far behind, finishing in fourth place.
Day 2 was no different: Laura Horvath had a near-perfect day with a second and a first place in the two scheduled events. On the other hand, Tia-Clair Toomey achieved a fifth and second place in the same events. So, at the end of the second day, Laura took command, but only by five points.
With everything to conquer, Tia Clair Toomey she showed up ready for the third day. She achieved notable scores in three events, which allowed her to get back to the top of the rankings. And, at that point, it was Laura who was five points behind.
As expected, the last day brought even more emotions, with both women entering the final event with the same number of points overall.
During the 9th wod, Laura Horvath kept a very fast pace that Tia-Clair Toomey couldn't keep up with. So, Laura has officially clinched the 2023 Rogue Invitational title.
