This is the second part of our (rather complete) list of everything you need to do CrossFit. Here you find the first part. If you think the content of the same gym bag enough to do CrossFit, no, you're not wrong! Actually, no particular purchase is necessary to start with, in fact, if you take too many things that you don't need, you're just wasting a lot of money.
Sneakers, Comfortable clothes it's a small towel they are more than enough to get on the track and make your WOD. The problem will come after the first week and the first month: your needs will increase and become more and more personal.
In the list that we show you today, here is the first part of some of the important (or fundamental) accessories which can serve when you begin to train, in order from those that (in all probability) will serve you less, up to those that will no doubt serve you more.
Keep following us: in the coming weeks you will have the opportunity to learn more about every single item listed here with lots of useful tips. So that's what can be used to do CrossFit.
Hand healing and disinfectant - We remain in the field of things that theoretically should always be present in a box, but it does not necessarily mean that there are (at least, I have never found the cicatrizant). During some workouts, even without the use of gloves and shoulder pads, it is possible that "open your hands“, As they say in the jargon. Don't be scared: in reality, the more experienced an athlete is, the less he gets injured. This is because your hands will become more and more used to that type of contact and you will have more technique. Bring the disinfectant with you if necessary, it is very important to use it before entering the shower with the high salt content water. On the cicatrizant there are various brands such as Cicatrene e Connettivina. They give great results in a short time.
Wrist - No, they are not used to make the bullies and improve the aesthetics of the forearms, but they are an essential support for your wrists. It will have happened to you also in other forms of physical activity (especially sports with the use of a ball) to feel bad at the base of the hand. Here: that kind of pain due to the flexion of the wrist and the tension in that specific part, can be alleviated even before stretching, by good wristbands.
Anti-abrasion socks - When you often lift the barbell off the ground but especially when you begin to become familiar with the use of the rope, you really need to protect the part that goes from the ankle to below the knee, without exception. There are many types of socks, but the most useful ones are the very high ones and with a fairly thick fabric, they will come back quite useful especially during the descent and during the take off.
CrossFit shoes - This is a very delicate and personal issue. The functional training shoes I must have the following characteristics: first of all good amortization and a compromise between flexibility and stability. You need a sturdiness that allows you to protect your foot, both in the part of the heel that will serve to have stability, and on the toes, necessary for many dynamic movements of this sport. In addition, like all shoes used for physical activity, they must be breathable and well made. It is not necessary to buy the Reebok brand: look around and choose the shoes that are right for you.
Technical clothing - We all started doing CrossFit with crumpled cotton t-shirts, very short shorts. Then, with time we realized that we sweat so much from the first minutes, that the softness of the squat trousers is fundamental but above all that the thighs must also be protected from abrasion. For this you will soon find yourself choosing breathable technical materials (there are excellent compromises on the market between natural and synthetic), slightly longer pants or leggings for maximum freedom of movement. When choosing how to dress, remember that it is important that they are above all comfortable, breathable and that they protect the support points of the barbell (thighs, shoulder blades, shoulders and sternum but not only).
