In a live on his Instagram profile, Dave Castro commented on the decision pinch (made with three fingers) on May 1st, by CrossFit® Inc, by cancel participation of athletes teeen and masters at the 2020 Games.
Many people went to his account with suggestions or complaints about this whole situation. To resolve the issue of Games, what he suggests is to make some races on different weekends. Something that would be difficult to apply and complicated to implement.
As for the complaints, the most frequent was that on the way in which CF disclosed the news relating to the changes implemented: using Instagram. The athletes did not even receive an email informing them that they would no longer participate in competitions on site. This question is still awaiting official clarifications.
In the live, moreover, he warned that anyone who knows the ranch of Aromas (where the Games will be held) knows that it could not accommodate 150 male and female athletes. Therefore, not everybody the qualified athletes for the Games will compete in presidential mode. There will be a cut somehow (maybe online?) but at the moment not much is known.
The idea of playing games with only elite athletes it is to show that everyone is still struggling and that they will not let this tradition end. Dave argued that the CrossFit® community should be celebrated and not criticized to try to materialize something in the midst of this pandemic.

Just to understand ...
A few days ago, CrossFit® Inc released an article informing all teens and masters athletes they will not be able to participate at this year's event.
It reads as follows:
"END OF THE SEASON
On April 16, it was announced that the 2020 Reebok CrossFit® Games would not take place in Madison and that all options would be evaluated for a format change in light of current events.
This year there will be no in-person competition to crown the fittest in the CrossFit Games Age Groups. No cash prizes will be issued. The age group competition will resume when the season is resumed in 2021. "

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THESE CROSSFIT® GAMES
With all these changes going on, it's all in the making.
When asked about what to expect of the physical tests he is organizing for whoever will compete, Dave replied that it will be one of the more brutal competitions and more physical and mental impact and never created. And that athletes will have to be very prepared because they will not have the support they are used to as fans, friends and so on.
Particular praise went to the whole teens category, which, despite the cancellation of participation, continued to train and look positively towards the future without raising many complaints.
