Being a mom is a full-time job. Probably many of us will pass by and among the thousand activities carried out daily it will be really difficult and complicated to know reconcile everything: arranging your home, working outside and meanwhile being perfect wives and mothers. Without obviously forgetting about themselves. But, have you ever thought of be mothers and athletes?
Many women have the same routine and are real strategists as they manage to fit everything together, planning and mentally schematizing the week's program so that everything runs smoothly as expected.
Perhaps this rhythm of life, with full and always running agendas, is what makes us so special. It is an ongoing challenge, but one that gives us the right motivation to masterfully accomplish everything we impose to do.
Being mothers and athletes is going beyond, being able to to unite the passions dedicating the right time for everything. We learn a lot from the responsibilities and objectives. Dedicating oneself to the family, to training and to competitions is not an easy task, and whoever succeeds shows how strong we women can be.
This is why we have selected some athletic mothers who make the difference, who make us proud for their tenacity and skill in reconciling every aspect of their lives. They are special, they are beautiful and good athletes but with a plus: their number one fan, a son.

Martina Siffredi (@mammina80)
"I am Martina Siffredi, I have 38 years and I am the mother of 4 wonderful children: Michela from 21 years, Giada from 10 years, Brando from 8 years and Margot from 5.
When I was very young, to support my daughter (I was a single mother), I worked in health care, in retirement homes for the elderly and hospital wards. I thought of everything by myself, without anyone's help.
Years later I met my husband, who owns a classic gym. There, I took my first steps, training with determination, even during pregnancy. We had 3 beautiful children, but only after the birth of the last one, Margot, that I embarked on my journey with the magical world of CrossFit.
Just a few months after its birth I faced my first race at CrossFit Acciaio in Biella, unaware of what this experience would be. From that moment on I decided to give it my all to seek completeness in this sport ... something for which I still work hard with extreme passion and I hope to persevere for a long time because it is absolutely part and essence of me now.
What I love is absolutely continuous and daily training. Beyond the competitions. I constantly look for improvement. Our routine is rather "military" and I must say that job training, especially in the field for the management of the psychiatric community, has allowed me to persevere methodically in the management of my / our life, certainly rich in stimuli but also in solidity.
At the end of September, having qualified for the third consecutive year, I will be at the Battle of Milan. In the meantime I have other programs and appointments in progress ... What is not easy is to target the needs of each family member ... but it is not impossible !!! Up to now I think I have succeeded quite well !!! I also persevere in this and live as a true privilege and blessing. "

Michela Rossetto (@the_real_micfit)
“I'm Michela Rossetto, CrossFit athlete and coach, as well as wife and mother of a 5 year old boy. What I emphasize ... gives his work cut out!
I have always been in the world of sport. Before being a crossfitter, I did classical and contemporary dance for 20 years. About 6 years ago, I met the world of CrossFit and it was love! I tried to compete and the excitement as well as personal satisfaction was great, so I thought: why not do it ?!
Certainly, being an athlete mother è challenging, also becauseé the workout moreù it is really difficult and important to grow my child to the fullest, spending the necessary time and quality with himà; thereforeò I try to organize all the household chores, the school, its activities, and then always have time to train (even with him, if I can).
My husband, as well as my coach and trainer at the Am Competitor Academy, follows me personally preparing for the competitions. Furthermore, we manage with the help of our precious collaborators, our 3 box CrossFit San Dona ', the "my fixed home" in which I teach mainly, CrossFit Treviso and the last born CrossFit Jesolo.
When passion and work become one thing this happens!
So, my favorite hashtag is: There is no excuse (#noncisonoscuse); if you really want and want, you can reconcile everything, even being a mum athlete ... Well, maybe the hardest thing is managing your own time. Because only by calibrating everything you can fit everything together.
I confess that sometimes even homemade WOD can be nice: lift the sofa, vacuum and get back in order, run to school, retrieve your child, go to the box to teach????.
So I'll ride the wave as long as I can, and I'll have health and energy, because all of this makes me feel good, makes me happy and makes me feel like a better mom for Giacomo and a handyman!
My life is this and I wouldn't change it with a more "quiet" one, for me it would be monotonous. Being an athlete mom is a privilege! "

Federica Corona (@fede_crossfit)
"My Crossfit adventure begins 3 years ago, at the age of 29 years and as the first sports experience of my life! It was immediately love at first sight and after about a year I started following a schedule and training 2 hours a day every day. I won't hide from you that I couldn't do without it anymore.
In October 2018 I discovered I was pregnant and the first thing I thought of was "how am I going to train now ?!"
In the first quarter I was very cautious, but adapting the programming I managed to train up to 3 days before giving birth. I do not deny that I had a perfect pregnancy without any kind of discomfort, certainly a big part of the credit goes to CrossFit.
Unfortunately, due to complications during labor, I had to do a cesarean. Here too my body, thanks to CrossFit, reacted very well and a few hours after the surgery I was already standing to rock my Camilla!
Now, at 45 days after giving birth, I can't wait to get back to training with my teammates. The return will certainly be very hard, so I will take everything from the basics and very gradually following a program specifically designed for me, aware of the fact that between one squat and another there will also be a feed.
My advice is not to consider pregnancy as a disease, but as a temporary change in one's body; not to consider the unborn child as an obstacle, but as an extra fan! "
