Following the conclusion of the 2023 CrossFit® Games, a Significant update to the CrossFit ® World Ranking System. As anticipated, there were significant changes in the ranking of the top 100 participants, both male and female.
In the female category, Laura Horvath managed to maintain her position at the top, in the men's division, however, Adler overtook Justin Medeiros to take first place.
It is important to specify that the implementation of the new global ranking system had a decisive role in determining the assignment of Games qualification slots for each of the Semi-final matches.
The amount of athletes in the top 100 of the updated world ranking system participating in a given Semifinal directly influences the likelihood of that specific event receiving an additional invitation to the CrossFit® Games.

Men's CrossFit ® World Ranking
In the men's division, the ranking of the top 10 participants has undergone notable changes after the 2023 CrossFit® Games. Adler, the winner, made an impressive leap from 5th to 1st place in the world rankings.
Although Vellner managed to reach the podium, lost two positions, slipping from 2nd to 4th place compared to the results after the Semifinals. Dallin Pepper, on the other hand, achieved a notable rise, placing 8th place after placing 5th at the 2023 Games.
One of the most surprising improvements came from newcomer Michal Wesolowski, who made an impressive leap 81 positions and placed 294th in the world rankings.

Women's CrossFit ® World Ranking
In the women's division, Laura Horvath managed to maintain her top position after triumphing in the CrossFit® Games.
Among the significant changes in the global top 10, Amanda Barnhart, Emma McQuaid and Brooke Wells left the list, making room for Alex Gazan, Katrin Davidsdottir and Paige Powers.
However, one of the most surprising results was obtained by Kelly Baker, who has improved dramatically its position in the updated world ranking. Has gained 133 positions, placing itself in 147th place.
It should be noted that this was the first time that the American athlete competed in the Games as an individual, obtaining a 21st place in the rankings. She placed 10th in the semi-finals and 23rd place in the quarter-finals.
We cannot fail to mention our athlete too Elisa Fuliano, who managed to improve her world position by 4 positions thanks to her 20th place in the 2023 CrossFit® Games.
This was a notable improvement from his 35th place the previous year. We can't wait to follow her in 2024 and see what the future holds for us!
