For all those who were waiting, finally the film "Resurgence ", which tells the story and the backstage of the CrossFit® Games 2020, premiered in streaming last week.
2020 has been a tough year for all CrossFitters. The competition had to be adapted to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and only counted the top 10 athletes in the world on the floor.
Il documentary has a duration of 1:52 and was directed by Buttery Bros, who have also signed the others previous films, also from the “Fittest on Earth” series.
In this new film we wanted to emphasize the conquest of fifth title of the American Mat Fraser, who was crowned as the greatest winner in history.

Resurgence: the synopsis
To be defined the most Fittest on Earth, an athlete must be able to overcome a variety of physical and mental challenges.
In 2020, these challenges were so many. “Resurgence” recorded all of the drama as the CrossFit® organization dedicated itself to a face-to-face event in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.
It was not easy to create a new competition format, reducing a wide range of elite athletes to just 5 men and 5 women.

Resurgence: the trailer
Do you remember the 2020 Games?
There was one before first phase online, where the 30 best classified each competed in his garage to try to earn a place in the final.
Of these, only the 5 strongest men and 5 women won the invitation for the final phase in person, in Aromas, California.
The most beautiful scene was in the last event when, Tia and Fraser, competing together, crossed the finish line hand in hand! Truly unforgettable!
Immediately after the Games ours champion announced his retirement, informing that he would continue in the world of CrossFit®, but instead of “Coach” with his #HWPO program.
How to watch Resurgence
The film is available on iTunes and Apple Store. There is the possibility of buy it for $ 14.99 or rent it for $ 4.99.
Resurgence: the review
If you've watched previous CrossFit® Games documentaries and enjoyed them, you will not be disappointed with Resurgence.
The film is particularly interesting, given the fact that only 5 men and 5 women competed in the final round of the CrossFit® Games, giving directors Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers more space to present each athlete's personal story.
The documentary not only manages to connect more with the athletes – with interviews in their hotel rooms and even immediately after finishing the events – but it also offers a look behind the scenes.
You can see the whole organization of the event and how the company managed to realize this edition of the Games, given the health emergency. We recommend it!
