It ends the 2024 edition of TYR Wodapalooza Miami, which took place from 11 to 14 January 2024. Individual Elite competitors competed on the first two days, while Elite teams competed on the final two days.
in the category Female elite, the second day saw Emma Cary win the overall title, reaching the podium for the second consecutive year after third place last year. In the men's category, Ricky Garard confirmed himself as Wodapalooza champion for the second year in a row.
This weekend it also hosted the first edition of the LatAm Cup, which was attended by athletes from all Latin American countries. These elite competitors earned their LatAm Cup spots by competing throughout 2023 in races in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala and Brazil.
The best 10 athletes competed in the first two days of competition to win the title of champions of the first LatAm Cup, performing the same workouts and adhering to the same standards as individual Elite divisions.
On the second day of the competition, Mariana Meza and Alejandro Trillos were crowned inaugural LatAm Cup champions.
At sunset on the last day of the race, too the Elite teams have crowned their winners. The GOWOD team, with two-time Fittest Man on Earth® Justin Medeiros, Willy Georges and Jay Crouch, has dominated the men's ranking and took the victory.
On the female side, the Stronger Than a 90s Trend team, led by Kelsey Kiel and with teammates Emelie Lundberg and Kelly Baker, won the Elite Teams competition.

Italian podiums at WDZ 24
This year, the participation of Italian athletes in TYR Wodapalooza Miami 2024 was exceptional, with notable performances in several categories.
in the category Master 35-39, Antea Longo from the CrossFit® FFA box in Grosseto, followed by coach Teo from Demantur, she showed an incredible performance. Constantly remaining among the top positions, she managed to conquer the top step of the podium, demonstrating extraordinary tenacity and skill.
In Master 50-54 category, Giorgia Donato from the CrossFit Cervia box kept Italy's name high, achieving a well-deserved second place. His performance was an example of force and resistance, bringing home an excellent result.
Even in Teen 16-18 category, Italy shone with Lorenzo Pitruzzello, which reached second place. His presence on the podium testifies to the high level of talent and dedication of young Italian athletes.
In Team RX Master category, the Old Italian Youn team, composed of Giuseppe Girelli, Tommaso Ruggieri and Michele Gardini, offered a memorable show. Dominating the competition, they won Wodapalooza 2024, demonstrating the strength and synergy of the team.
We cannot forget the our Fulix, who competed in the Reebok Crew team together with Michelle Basnett and Alisson Scudds. Although they finished the racing weekend in 15th place overall, their performance was an example of team spirit and resilience.
